Payton's 2002 recording Just Do Me Right offers an exciting blend of blues, soul and 60's-style blues-rock. I can just picture Keith and Mic listening to “Back to the Bridge” and “Do Me Right”, absorbing the style for something that might one day show up on Hot Rocks.
Of course this is all backwards since Just Do Me Right is a recent release. Asie was born in 1937 and has been making music for a long time. For a little on Asie and a lot on Fat Possum check out the DVD You See Me Laughin
In any case, the point of my brief description is to give you feeling for how the music sounds, not to imply that Asie is somehow today's Muddy Waters. He's made a rockin' recording and my 17-month-old son loves it. Check it out. (The first link above takes you to emusic.com so you can sample the tracks.)
